Our services

Southwark Irish Pensioners Project provides a drop-in day service at 6 Market Place, Bermondsey, SE16 3UQ which is in a shop premises, opposite the Blue Anchor Library in 'the blue'.
The drop-in (or Club as its become known) is open from 12 to 3.30pm
Tuesday and Thursday and 2pm to 5pm on Friday for a game of 25.

The Club is a warm and welcoming place to meet up with friends and to make new ones, plus there are               various social and therapeutic activities offered for you to join in as you please.

In August 2016, we opened our first satellite Club in New Cross to encourage those who,                                     due to age or frailty, were finding it difficult to get to Bermondsey.
The satellite Club is open every Wednesday from from 11am to 3pm at All Saints Community Church Hall,           105 New Cross Road, SE14 5DG.  It offers stress massage, a light lunch and bingo every week and has                  the same warm, welcoming atmosphere as the Bermondsey Club.

Following on from the success of the New Cross satellite Club, we opened another satellite Club                           in Corpus Christi Church hall in Brixton Hill, SW2 5BJ, again to bring the Club closer to Irish pensioners       living in Lambeth.
The Brixton satellite Club is open every Tuesday from 11am to 3.30pm and offers a light lunch                  and bingo and the welcoming atmosphere is there too.

Our community service includes an experienced team of outreach and community workers,a          wonderful  team of volunteerbefrienders visiting isolated and vulnerable people in their own homes or in care homes, a hospital visiting service, pub outreach service and a FREE walk-in advice and information service. The advice service is open from 12 to 3pm on Monday and Wednesday and from 10am to 12 on Tuesday at the address above. You can also make an appointment outside these hours by calling the office on 020 7237 5841 or you can arrange for a home visit if you cannot get to the office.

You can drop in for information and advice on health and housing issues, social services,
welfare benefits and pensions. In addition, we can help with general issues such as dial-a-ride,
blue badges, passport applications and bus pass renewals.
If we can't help, we will find you someone who can.
