Our Services
We provide a drop-in day service from Tuesday to Friday in Bermondsey and Brixton, where we offer a warm Irish welcome along with a place for our members to meet, catch up with old friends and make new ones. There are a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities to enjoy as well as regular outings and monthly tea dances. Through the colder months, we are providing home made soup and a warm roll for £1 to help our members with the cost of living crisis.
There is always a member of staff on hand who can help ease any worries over a range of issues including pensions, welfare benefits, health & housing issues, form filling, debt management, etc and they will also arrange appointments for our advice service. We organise large Christmas and St Patrick's Day events in the Executive Suite of Millwall FC, that give everyone the opportunity to socialise and enjoy a wonderful day out and there are other as hoc events held throughout the year. Our community services include an experienced team of assertive outreach, community support and carer support workers and our helping hands volunteer service that includes volunteer befrienders and companions. Our community services work across south London, primarily the boroughs of Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark. We also provide an advice and information service on Tuesday and Thursday from our shop premises in Bermondsey, as well as an outreach advice service for those unable to travel. Our community support service operates 7 days a week and includes a pub outreach scheme (crisis prevention) and a hospital visiting service focused on advocating for clients to ensure they receive an appropriate care package when discharged. We have recently introduced a bereavement support service that provides practical advice and support at a pivotal time for bereaved families and loved ones. We work tirelessly to keep our community connected with regular phonecalls and weekly/bi-weekly home visits to our more vulnerable clients. We also send out birthday cards, Christmas cards and regular newsletters and we ensure our members have our freephone number so they can call us anytime. For further information, please phone talk to Rita or Richard on 020 7237 5841 or email [email protected]. |

Our hospital discharge team gets people back into their own homes and makes sure they have the support and care they need from providing hot meals, help paying bills and getting medical care.
This is a huge comfort to many elderly people who may have nobody else to call on.
